For 30 years spirits have been a major part in the life of Jürgen Deibel from Hanover, Germany. He does Seminars, Training and Tasting all around the world on all spirits including R(h)um, Whisk(e)y, Vodka, Tequila, Gin, Cognac, Brandy and everything, that is at least distilled once. Since October 2008 he has become a Sherry Educator of the Consejo Regulador de Sherry y Manzanilla. In 1995 he founded his first consultancy company for spirits. Since this time he has worked professionally for producers, importers, distributors and on- and off-trade. Tasting are also held at private functions or for industry and on- and off-trade. As a trained research chemist (Dipl. Chem.; organo-metallic Chemistry) he has spend a long time at university and technical high school for education. Later he became partner in an engineering company specialised in distillation technology. He also has experience in sales and marketing. Throughout his professional career he has spend much time all over the world in spirits producing distilleries learning about the processes of making spirits via distillation and maturation. He attends all major and important fairs on spirits and bar-knowledge and is director of the Lima Bar Show in Peru. Bob Davies has a passion for all things rum. Known as the Rumelier, Bob is widely respected as a rum expert, international rum tasting judge and blogger. His extensive collection of more than 600 fine rums includes samples from most of the rum producing nations.
He is the distribution manager for the largest liquor distributor in the Turks and Caicos Islands. While in his present job he has been heavily involved in developing the latest rum to be launched in the Turks and Caicos, Bambarra Rum.

Spirits journalist Rene van Hoven started his Rum adventure in 1986 with the book Rum Yesterday and Today. Now (dozens of books and more than 300 bottles later) he still thinks Rum is the most underrated spirit in the world. After his study F&B on the University of Applied Sciences in Amsterdam where he learned the technical aspects of Rum distillation, he worked on several levels in the drinks industry. Officially he is also a trained Chef, but that will remain a secret.
Since his first appearance as a judge on Barbados in 2000, he writes articles for several magazines and his website rumpages.com. The latest development in his career is the start of his own Rum import company called Rumpages.

Pavol (Pablo) Kažimir is a Slovakian bartender who has worked in several countries, including the USA, Spain and Germany and focuses on the Japanese Bartending style. In June 2009, he moved to the Dominican Republic where he discovered his passion for rums. Since then, he has dedicated his free time to expanding his understanding and knowledge of rums along with building connections throughout the rum industry by visiting distillers, chatting with bartenders, travelling to rum conferences and most recently, developing the website, Dominican Rums; dedicated to bringing together the rum world in the DR.
